Governor of Hong Kong a confidential
despatch dated the 14th July asking
for approval of the inclusion in the
draft Estimates for 1934, under Loan
Corks,
of the sum of $300,000 on
account of the second pipeline across
the harbour, the total cost of which is
estimated at $350,000.

In this despatch, a copy of whicn
the Governor says has been sent to
you, it is stated to be necessary for
further information of a technical
nature to be obtained regarding the
different types of material used in
the pipes and the methods to be adopted
for their protection.
